Care Partners Terms


NURSES AT HOME POLICIES FOR CARE PARTNERS (CP)

While CARE-PARTNERS (CP) are service professionals and mature individuals, dedicated to providing a safe and competent service, NURSES AT HOME is committed to working with only providers who like us, put high priority on the safety and wellbeing of our clients.

These policies are intended to give a common base to all CP’s so our clients may receive uniform service from different CP’s.

  1. CARE-PARTNERS APPEARANCE AND DRESSING


  2. NAH expects CPs to dress in an appropriate manner so as to maintain professionalism and hygiene standards appropriate for the care situation.

    NURSES AT HOME recommends following:
    1. An issued white T shirt worn with a dark pants or slacks.
    2. Dark shoes(toes and heal covered) with socks
    3. Long hair to be tied so as not to interfere with care duties
    4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by industry standards.


    The following are not allowed while on duty for hygiene or safety reasons:
    1. Jewellery that may interfere with duties such as rings, chains around neck, nose rings, large earrings, piercings other than earrings.
    2. Tattoos that are excessively visible
    3. Slippers or sandals unless agreed to by client.
    4. Hats or head coverings other than that obligated for religious reasons.


    Any violation of this policy, especially ones that may compromise hygiene and safety may result in written warnings and or initiate an inquiry and possible termination of the CP agreement based on the outcome, at the sole discretion of NURSES AT HOME.

  3. CARE-PARTNER’S PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT


    1. As is becoming of a professional healthcare worker, it is imperative that CP behaves in the most polite and non-aggressive manner in any circumstance. If patient, client or family member behaves in physically threatening manner, CP shall secure patient in a safe manner if possible and leave the premise immediately and at the earliest possible time, inform NAH supervisor of the incident and actions taken. A written report is required within 24 hours of the incident unless CP is physically unable to do the report.

      Use of improper language, threatening behavior etc if proven after due enquiry, will result in immediate termination of the CP agreement and will be reported to the appropriate authorities as relevant.

      Any disputes must be handled in a professional manner and if requested, NURSES AT HOME may help mediate to resolve issue. NURSES AT HOME shall always support the CP, if CP has behaved in manner that puts safety of the patient or CP as priority. NAH shall not be liable for any actions the client may institute against the CP for any and all of his or her actions.

    2. Care-Partner agrees to fill and share an online CV, with biodata and job-related information including references as part of the application process in order for NAH to ascertain qualifications and experience as a registered nurse or allied professional. Care-Partner also agrees to allow NAH to share relevant data on the CV with potential clients for clients to ascertain the experience and qualifications of CP.
    3. If Care-Partner misrepresents, either intentionally or by negligence, any data related to CP’s professional or personal data that is relevant to competent and safe care of patients, NAH reserves the right to immediately, upon investigation and confirmation, terminate the agreement with CP and if necessary, inform, any related authorities, of breach of statutory duties or criminal actions.
    4. NAH spends considerable resources to advertise and market its services. CPs are introduced to clients on the trust that CP will not circumvent NAH, in providing services to introduced client or family members directly. Care-Partner agrees that CP shall not under any circumstances, solicit or accept paid work that involves caring for patients, clients or family members introduced to CP via NAH’s assignments. This non-compete agreement shall stay in force for 6 months from last day of assignment with NAH. NAH reserves the right to seek compensation for loss of income due to breach of trust placed on CP.
    5. CP agrees that retention of registration with Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia as a nurse, is fundamental term to this agreement and that NAH may terminate this agreement with immediate effect if that registration is no longer valid.


  4. CARE-PARTNERS HONESTY AND INTEGRITY


  5. In allowing CP to enter and provide service in the Clients home, the CP is implicitly given trust by the client to perform the same in a manner that does not threaten any person or property in the client’s home.

    Any violation of this trust, if proven after investigations will be directed to the authorities as appropriate. Any CP found to have violated this trust will be immediately and permanently removed from the NURSES AT HOME platform and put on NURSES AT HOME’ alert list for future use. NURSES AT HOME shall not be liable for any actions the client may institute against the CP for any and all of his or her actions.

  6. CARE-PARTNERS TERMS FOR ACCEPTING ASSIGNMENTS


    1. Care-Partners shall use the NAH approved, registration mechanisms to apply for and register themselves into the NAH system.
    2. NAH shall, at its sole discretion, review and accept or decline any application to register on its Online system/s without giving any reasons.
    3. To project an appearance of professionalism it is imperative that CP is punctual and keeps to agreed time for cases. Client may plan their activity around the shift time of the CP and not being punctual may disrupt clients plans and routine.
      1. Any CP not on location within 5 mins prior to start of shift without any prior warning, will be deemed late.
      2. Any CP more than 15 mins late from scheduled start of shift will be considered ‘no show’ and client may cancel the shift at this point.
      3. If client cancels the shift or NURSES AT HOME manages to find replacement, this will be deemed a cancellation by the CP and the cancellation terms will apply.
    4. CP shall be paid the agreed rate on a weekly/biweekly/monthly basis as agreement states provided all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
    5. CP shall have access to details of fees paid via online payslips.
